[Flex] Add Custom Fields to the Register Visitor/Sign-in Flow

Introduction

The Custom Fields feature in Flex Visitor Hub gives admins more control and flexibility in collecting and managing Visitor information. It also enhances security compliance and opens new opportunities for engagement and growth.

Key Features

  • Add custom field types (Text, Single choice, Multiple choice) to the Register Visitor (Admin Portal) and Visitor Sign-in flows (tablet app). The fields can include information such as company name, car plate, ZIP code, address, opt-in, single/multiple choice, etc.
  • Add a Phone Number field with area code selector.

  • All data entered in the custom fields is stored securely in the Visitor Log and can be exported for further analysis.
  • You can also rename the display names of the default fields (Full Name and Host)

How It Works

1. Open the Flex Admin Portal and log-in with your admin credentials.

2. Navigate to Visitor Hub/Tablet app Settings/Tablet Flows Customization.

3. Click on the Customize button.

4. Next, click on the Customize button in the Visitor section.

5. Click on the Add Field button (1).

6. Select Your Phone Number to add a phone number field, or Custom field... (2).

In the Add Field dialog:

7. Select the field Type (Text, Single choice, Multiple choice).

Note: 8 fields is the recommended maximum number.

For Single and Multiple choice fields, enter each individual option in the Options field and press Enter.

Note: Do not attempt to separate the options by comma or otherwise.

8. Enter the Field Name and click Add when you're finished.
