What are Check-Ins & Check-Outs?

When someone from your community enters the building for the day, they have the option to check-in - or be checked in - which helps you get a better understanding of the traffic your space gets.

If you would like to learn more about how Check-Ins and Day Passes work together, please take a look at our help article on Using Day Passes.

Check-Ins and Check-Outs

A member can be checked in through one of the following options:

  • The admin going to the profile of the member and checking them in manually.
  • The member going to their respective member Portal and checking themselves in manually.
  • A wi-fi integration that checks in when a member connects to the wi-fi (an external integration would be needed).
  • A door access control system integration that checks in a member when they enter the building (an external integration would be needed).

A member can be checked out by:

  • The admin going to the profile of the member and checking them out manually.
  • The member going to their respective member portal and checking themselves out manually.
  • A wi-fi integration that checks out when a member disconnects from the wi-fi (an external integration would be needed).
Note: If no manual check-out is recorded, the system will automatically check-out the member at midnight.

How to Check-In or Check-Out a Member Manually

While the check-in option works best when combined with a Door Access or WiFi integration, an admin can check members in or out manually. Here is how to do that:

From the Who's In Section:

  1. Open the Who's In section of the Dashboard.
  2. Find the Member in question by searching for their Name or Email.
  3. Use the 2020-05-29_1744_001.png button to open the Check-In or Check-Out window.
  4. Fill out the details in the new window and hit Check in or Check out and you're done!

From the Profile Page of a Member

  1. Open the profile page of a Member - you can find all members under Community/Members.
  2. On the left-hand details, look for the Presence field and select the Check in or Check out option:

  3. Fill out the details in the new window and hit Check in or Check out and you're done!
