Sometimes you'd need to limit the ability of your employees to book more than one desk per day or per booking slot (if your desks are booked by the hour). The setting to control that is placed under Settings/Calendar - Allow parallel bookings. It will be enabled by default.
If the checkbox is enabled, desks can be booked without a limitation.
If the checkbox is disabled, regular employees (such that are not Admins and Team Leads) will not be able to book more than one desk per day or per time slot. Instead, they will have the option to Switch the desk if they try to book another.
Admins and Team Leads will not be affected by the setting as they need to be able to book more than one desk per day.
