    Hey Martin,

     

    Is it possible to not have the view of the meeting room change when setting a child/parent relationship? Even if the structure is set in order (1-6 in our case) when we added the parent, it moved it to the 3 position and shifted everything else down.

    Additionally, can it have an option to only allow staff to book this room only? Currently, if it is limited, it also removes all the children from the public and member page. 


    Additionally, if members were allowed to book it. it should take the amount of credits for each child. For example if our Training Room is a combination of Meeting Rooms 1, 2 & 3 and is booked for 2 hours, it should take 6 credits.

    Hi David!

    I will try to answer your questions in order:

    1. We intentionally forced the rearrangement of the calendar where the Parent leads all Children. Which means that if you set up a room like a Parent it will always sit first compared to its Children and the Children will be always grouped together behind the Parent.

    2. Being able to change the privacy setting only for the Parent is part of the design of the feature. Our QA team just reproduced this problem and we recognized it as a Bug. We will be fixing this as soon as possible. I will post s timeline for this once I have it.

    3. We intentionally design the feature so the Parent room can have its own Resource Rate, not influenced by a sum/combination of the Rates of its Children. The idea behind this is that from our research we learned most spaces use a custom/different pricing for such Parent rooms that just combining the rates of the Children. What I suggest is that you create a Resource rate which has pricing equal to the sum of the Children rates and just apply this rate to this room. I believe this will achieve the result you are looking for.

    I seem to have an issue setting this up for one of my meeting rooms. It says I have 1 intersecting booking and I've gone though every booking for the combined room and checked there aren't any bookings in the same place and there's nothing there.

     

    It would be handy if you were able to click the error box to see a list of those bookings to make it easier for the user. In the same way it would be good to have that option when trying to book a recurring booking and it gives you the "resource unavailable" error

    Hi Beth,

    Thanks for the good ideas of how to make troubleshooting easier. I am logging these in our backlog so we can take them into consideration when planning. Meanwhile, can you submit a support ticket to our team so they can help you figure out this :)

    Hi Martin

    Any update on the bug with the privacy settings? I have still not had a response (since Friday) to my issue about one of the meeting rooms not allowing me to make it a child so at the moment I am unable to change the privacy settings for the parent to make it public until that's fixed. None of our members are able to book one of our meeting rooms without asking us at the moment.

    The bug with the privacy will be fixed with our next release. About your ticket, our dev team is working on finding the booking of yours causing this problem.
