What Are Resource Rates & Billing Plans And When To Choose One Over The Other?
Updated over a week ago

In essence, both the resource rates and the billing plans are a pricing model you can apply to the services you offer in your space. Let’s start by giving you their definitions in our video guide, which will also help you understand the difference between the two.

OfficeRnD is under intense development and gets updated constantly. Therefore, you may spot some differences in the UI between the videos and the platform. Generally, the instructions remain the same. Please refer to our help articles for the most up-to-date information.

Summary

1. Resource rates are your pricing model for bookable resources like meeting rooms, event spaces, etc.
With them, you'll be able to charge your customers for the bookings they created through the Portal & Public calendar or you added on their behalf in the admin portal. Click here to learn more about how you can create resource rates.

2. Billing plans are the pricing model you'll be using for every other service your space will offer (e.g., office rentals, dedicated desks, parking slots, as well as any one-off charges that your customers have to pay without specifying a time slot for the usage (catering, payment processing fees, printing fees, etc.).

Those can be purchased in two ways:

  • Members can purchase or request them through the customer-facing tools (e.g., sign-up page or members portal).

  • The admin team can add them on demand through the admin platform.
