OfficeRnD Flex allows you to create resources for your space's different types of services. You can add custom zones to represent these resources, making them easy to manage from your floor plan.
You can use Resource Types to manage whether your resources can be booked hourly or daily. For example, if you change the booking mode of a Resource Type to "Time," all resources of this type will be booked only hourly; if you set it to "Date," all resources of this type will be booked only daily.
Note: Having one Resource Type be bookable and assignable simultaneously is not recommended, as this may cause issues.
Before you start
Add a Resource Type
1. Go to Settings > Platform Modules > Resource Types.
2. Click Add Resource Type.
3. Configure the Resource Type. The following table describes the different options you have:
Name | Description |
Title | The name of the Resource Type (for example, "Workshop" or "Parking Lot"). |
Icon | An icon to represent the Resource Type on the Member Portal. |
Type | A unique key that links the Resource Type to a zone type (for example, "workshop," "parking_lot"). |
Color | A color that color codes the Resource Type on the floor plan. |
Can Book | Select it if the Resource Type should be available for booking on a calendar. |
Booking Mode | Only available if you select Can Book. You can select:
|
Can Assign | Select it if you want to assign memberships to the resource type. |
Primary | Select it if you want to track the resource occupancy in the Occupancy section of the Dashboard. |
3. When you're finished, click Add.
Important: Create a dedicated Zone Type for every new resource used on the floor plan and set its floor plan resource type to "Zone".
Go to Settings
> Platform Modules > Resource types.
Click Add Zone Type.
Name – The name of the zone.
Type – A unique key that links the zone type to a resource type. The values must match across both Resource and Zone; otherwise, the system cannot connect them.
Color – A color that color codes the zone type on the floor plan.
Click Add.
Tip: To add a dedicated calendar page on the Member Portal targeting a new resource:
Go to Settings
> Platform Modules > Resource types.
