The Kiosk app is a solution for larger organizations looking to enhance their employees' workplace experience. It can be used on any touchscreen device with a web browser.
The Workplace Kiosk app is available for Pro and Enterprise plans.
Before you start
Use cases for the Kiosk app
The Kiosk app has several use cases. When an employee arrives at the office, they find a kiosk tablet, and they use it to:
Book their desk for the day. Using the office map on the Kiosk app, they can easily locate their desk and head to it.
Find a colleague and book a desk nearby. Using the office map on the Kiosk app, they can easily locate their desk and head to it.
Book a Meeting Room for later or for now. Using the office map on the Kiosk app, they can easily locate the meeting room and head to it.
Open the Kiosk app
The Kiosk app isn't a native mobile app; you cannot download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You can access the Kiosk app through a web browser. To do that, follow these steps:
On your tablet, open a browser and log in to the Workplace Web Portal. Then, go to Workplace > Resources and open the Kiosks tab.
Tap a kiosk to open the Edit Kiosk dialog. Tap Copy URL.
Open a new browser tab and paste the URL to open the Kiosk app. You must log in with your OfficeRnD admin credentials.
Now, you can use the tablet as a kiosk.
Use the Kiosk app
You can use the Kiosk app to:
Book a Hotdesk for the whole day or only for several hours.
Book a Meeting Room for later during the day or at the earliest available time.
See which colleagues are in the office today and where they are seated.
The Kiosk app doesn't support the following actions (you can use the Web Portal or the Mobile App to perform them):
Make recurring bookings.
Add catering and meeting services.
Add attendees to a Meeting Room booking.
See who is in the office today
To quickly review who is in the office today and where they are seated:
Tap Who's In to review all employees in the office for the current day.
Tap to highlight an employee's location on the floor plan.
Make bookings using the Kiosk app
To book an available Hotdesk or Meeting Room:
Tap an available Hotdesk or Meeting Room and select the booking duration.
Tap Book.
Type your name and select your profile in the list.
You can book any bookable resource via the Kiosk app as long as you have permission to book it.
