If you’re using Public Pages today and don’t use Stripe, the migration to Growth Hub can feel uncomfortable. You might be thinking:
"Payments won’t be automated anymore."
"This sounds like extra manual work."
"Do we really get any benefit from Growth Hub without Stripe?"
Those concerns are valid. Read below to understand what you can do today, why not using Stripe limits the value of Growth Hub, and why you don’t yet have to rush a decision.
What’s changing and what’s not
What’s changing:
Public Pages will be deprecated in 2026 and will no longer be available.
Growth Hub becomes the only supported public booking experience.
What’s not changing:
You can still accept online bookings without Stripe.
You can still collect payments manually using invoices and your existing process.
How to use Growth Hub without Stripe
Growth Hub works natively with Stripe for automated payments. If you don’t use Stripe, the simplest workaround is to separate booking from payment.
How it works:
Members and non-members complete checkout without entering card details.
The booking is confirmed in Growth Hub.
For non-members, you invite them to the Member Portal, generate an invoice, and collect payment separately.
You include these invoices in your regular monthly Bill Run, so your workflow stays consistent.
Good to know:
Bookings stay automated.
Payments require manual follow-up.
This setup is supported during the transition period.
Set up the no-Stripe checkout flow
Growth Hub is already available, so you can start testing right away.
Go to Settings > Billing > Purchase Flows.
Open your Non-Member Purchase Flow.
Clear these checkboxes:
Ask the user to provide Credit Card details
Charge invoice immediately
Click Update.
With this setup, customers can book without paying up front, and you retain control over invoicing.
Why consider migrating to Stripe
Stripe is required if you want:
Automated card and direct debit payments.
Fully hands-off checkout.
Switching to Stripe is optional and doesn't block your Growth Hub migration. If you want to explore it later, our team can help you review timing and impact before you decide.
