[Growth Hub] Sell Day Pass Packs

Nudge customers to buy more upfront by displaying Day Pass packs with clear savings on your storefront.

Written by Yasen Marinov

If you sell Day Passes individually, some customers will buy 1 at a time even when they plan to visit regularly. Packs let you offer a better price for bulk purchases and clearly display that saving at the point of purchase, where customers are most likely to say yes.

Packs are displayed on your Growth Hub storefront with a savings badge and a side-by-side price comparison. Customers can see exactly how much they save compared to buying individually, then proceed straight to checkout.

Requirements

  • Admin access required. You need Owner or Admin permissions in your OfficeRnD Admin Portal.

  • Growth Hub storefront is live. Your booking widget must be active before plans can be listed.

Packs are only available for one-off plans. You cannot create packs for recurring membership plans.

Overview

A Pack is a bundle of a billing plan sold at a discounted total price. For example, if a single Day Pass costs $150, you can create a pack of 6 Day Passes for $800 instead of $900. Customers see the individual cost per pass ($133.33) and the discount (11%) alongside the pack price, so the saving is immediately clear.

You can create multiple packs for the same plan, for example, a pack of 3, a pack of 6, and a pack of 10, each with its own price. On the storefront, customers see all available options and choose the one that suits them before proceeding to checkout.

Key concepts:

  • One-off plan: The base billing plan that a pack is built from. Each plan defines 1 unit (for example, 1 Day Pass) and its individual price.

  • Pack: A quantity of one-off plans sold together at a total pack price. The pack price is set by you and is typically lower than buying the same number of plans individually.

  • Savings badge: Displayed on each pack card on the storefront, showing the savings as a percentage or currency amount versus buying individually.

  • Price comparison: The full price (individual plans total) is shown alongside the pack price, so the saving is visible before the customer clicks.

Step 1: Create the Day Pass billing plan

Before adding packs, you need a one-off billing plan that represents a single Day Pass. If you already have one, go to Step 2.

  1. Open the Flex Admin Portal and go to Billing > Plans.

  2. Click Add Plan and select One-Off Plan.

  3. Enter a name for the plan (for example, "Day Pass").

  4. Set the price for 1 Day Pass.

  5. Configure any credits or coins this plan provides, if applicable.

  6. Click Save.

Note: If your plan includes credits or coins, those will scale automatically with the pack quantity. A pack of 5 plans, each containing 10 credits, will provide 50 credits in total.

Step 2: Create packs for the Day Pass plan

Add one or more packs to your Day Pass plan. Each pack defines a bundle quantity and a discounted total price.

  1. Open the Flex Admin Portal and go to Billing > Plans.

  2. Open the Day Pass plan.

  3. Open the Packs tab.

  4. Click Add Pack.

  5. Enter a Name for the pack. This name is visible to customers on the storefront (for example, "5-Day Pass Bundle" or "Monthly Flexi Pack").

  6. Enter the Quantity per Pack. This is how many Day Passes are included in the bundle.

  7. Enter the Pack Price. This is the total price customers pay for the entire pack. You will see the per-unit cost and the discount percentage update automatically.

  8. Click Add to save the pack.

  9. Repeat to create additional pack options at different quantities and price points.

Watch out for price markups: If you enter a Pack Price that exceeds the sum of the individual prices, a red warning appears. This means you are charging more per unit in the pack than individually. Customers will see this as a savings badge showing 0% or a negative discount, undermining the pack's purpose.

Example: Pack pricing

Here is how the numbers could work for a Day Pass priced at $150 per plan:

Pack name

Quantity

Pack price

Saving vs. individual

Starter Pack

3 Day Passes

$400

$50 (11%)

Value Pack

6 Day Passes

$800

$100 (11%)

Max Pack

10 Day Passes

$1,250

$250 (17%)

Step 3: List the Plan on Growth Hub

Make the Day Pass plan and its packs available for purchase on your storefront.

  1. Open the Flex Admin Portal and go to Growth Hub > Listings > Plans.

  2. Click List Plans.

  3. Find and select the Day Pass plan you configured in Steps 1 and 2.

  4. Click List.

The plan is now live. Customers visiting your storefront will see the individual plan price alongside any packs you created, each with its own savings badge and price comparison.

All packs appear automatically. Once you list the plan, all the packs you created for it appear on the storefront. You do not need to list each pack separately. If you add a new pack later, it appears on the storefront immediately without relisting the plan.

What customers see on the storefront

When a customer visits your storefront and selects the Day Pass plan, they see the individual plan price alongside all available pack options. Each pack card displays:

  • The pack name you configured.

  • A savings badge showing savings as a percentage or a currency amount compared to the cost of buying individually.

  • A price comparison showing the full price (individual units total) alongside the pack price, so the saving is visible before they click.

  • The total number of Day Passes included in the pack.

The customer selects their preferred option, whether a single Day Pass or a pack, and proceeds to the standard Growth Hub checkout flow. The order summary reflects the selected pack, including the pack name, quantity, and total price.

Flex Area plans and packs: If your Day Pass plan is of the Flex Area type, selecting a quantity of 1 creates a Flex Area booking. Selecting a pack option is treated as a standard one-off plan checkout and does not create Flex Area bookings. This is expected behavior.

Best practices

Use these guidelines to get the most out of Packs on your storefront.

  • Offer 3 pack sizes to give customers a choice without overwhelming them. Small, medium, and large options (for example, 3, 6, and 10 passes) cover most buying patterns. Too many options slow down the decision.

  • Make the discount meaningful at each tier. A saving below 5% is unlikely to change a customer's behavior. Aim for at least 10% on the smallest pack and increase the savings at higher quantities to reward larger purchases.

  • Use pack names that reflect the customer's intent, not internal labels. "Monthly Flexi Pack" or "Team Day Pass Bundle" is more useful than "Pack A" or "6x Plan". The name appears on the storefront and in the Member Portal.

  • If you update a pack price after listing, the new price applies immediately. There is no need to relist the plan. Customers already mid-checkout will see the price that was active when they started.

  • Check the discount calculation before saving. You will see the per-unit cost and discount percentage in real time as you enter the pack price. Confirm the numbers look right before clicking 'Add'.

Frequently asked questions

I cannot see the Packs tab on my plan. Why?

The Packs tab only appears on one-off plans. If you are looking at a recurring membership plan, the tab will not be there. Check the plan type and confirm it is set to One-Off before looking for the Packs tab.

I added a pack, but it is not showing on the storefront. What should I check?

Confirm the plan is listed on Growth Hub. Go to Growth Hub > Listings > Plans and check whether the Day Pass plan appears as listed. If it is not listed, the packs will not be visible. If the plan is listed and the pack is still not showing, check that the pack was saved correctly under Billing > Plans > Open a plan > Open the Packs tab.

Can I create packs for membership plans?

No. Packs are only supported for one-off plans. Recurring membership plans do not have a Packs tab.

What happens if I delete a pack after customers have already purchased it?

Deleting a pack removes it from the storefront immediately. Existing purchases are not affected. Customers who already bought the pack retain their Day Passes.

Can I offer packs at a higher price than buying them individually?

You can save a pack with a higher price, but a red warning appears during configuration. On the storefront, this would display as no savings or a negative savings, which is likely to confuse customers and reduce conversions. Avoid this unless you have a specific reason for it.

Does a pack purchase count against my Flex Area capacity?

If the plan is a Flex Area type, a pack purchase is treated as a standard one-off checkout and does not create Flex Area bookings. Flex Area capacity tracking applies only when a quantity of 1 is selected on a Flex Area plan, not when a pack is purchased.
