If members can book resources without having credits or coins assigned, your allowances lose their purpose. Enabling the booking restriction in a Booking Policy means the system checks for available coins or credits before confirming any booking. Members without coins or credits can't book paid resources.
This setting is located within a Booking Policy in OfficeRnD Flex and works alongside your credit and coin configuration. When you turn it on, two additional limits are set automatically: recurring bookings and future bookings are both capped at 1 month ahead. This keeps booking windows aligned with how credits and coins are issued monthly.

How the booking restriction works
When the restriction is active, the system checks whether a member has enough coins or credits before allowing a booking on a paid resource. If they don't, the booking is blocked. Free resources are not affected; members can still book them regardless of their credit or coin balance.
Turning on this setting also locks two additional fields in the Booking Policy:
Limit Recurring Booking Span – Set automatically to 1 month and cannot be changed.
Limit Future Bookings – Set automatically to 1 month ahead and cannot be changed.
This is by design. Credits and coins are issued monthly, so the system restricts booking windows to align with that cycle. A member booking 3 months ahead would not yet have any credits to cover it.
Example: A member tries to book a Meeting Room but has no credits assigned. The system blocks the booking. If the same member tries to book a free resource, the booking goes through.
Turn on the booking restriction
To restrict bookings to members with coins or credits:
Go to Settings > Calendar > Calendar & Bookings.
Scroll to the Booking Policies section and click Add Policy or open an existing one.
Select Restrict bookings to members with coins or credits.
Click Add. Once active, the 1-month limits for future and recurring bookings are applied automatically and cannot be changed.
Review your credit and coin assignments before turning on this policy. Members with no credits or coins assigned will be blocked from booking paid resources immediately.
