[Flex] Move a Member from One Company to Another

Transfer a member’s profile, fees, and personal invoices to a new company in just a few clicks.

Sometimes members change companies within your space. When that happens, you can move their profile to the new company without losing personal data.

This article explains how to reassign a member to a different company and what happens to their memberships and fees when you do.


Move a member to another company

To change a member's company, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Operations > Members.

  2. Open the member's profile.

  3. Click Edit Details.

  4. In the dialog, open the Company drop-down menu.

  5. Select the new company.

  6. Click Update.

What happens when you move a member

Once you move a member to a new company:

  • Personal memberships, fees, and invoices move to the new company.

  • If a membership is assigned to the member but billed to the original company, it will be unassigned from the member and stay with the original company.

  • Any such memberships become unassigned and can be reassigned later.

  • The member's account and profile information stay intact.
