[Flex] Payment Gateway Integrations: Use Cases and Solutions

This article addresses common scenarios and solutions related to payment gateway integrations within OfficeRnD.

Updated today

Integrating payment gateways with OfficeRnD is essential for efficient financial operations. However, certain common mistakes can hinder this process. This article outlines typical scenarios and provides solutions to ensure a seamless integration experience.

Transferring existing payment details to OfficeRnD

Scenario: You use a payment gateway provider, such as Stripe, and want to transfer all stored payment details to OfficeRnD.

Solution: Ensure that the email addresses of your companies or individual members in OfficeRnD match those in your payment provider's system. This alignment allows the integration to sync data accurately. Alternatively, you can import payment details into OfficeRnD using a CSV file. Learn how to import payment details β†’

Compatibility of multiple Payment Gateway integrations

Scenario: You assume multiple payment gateway integrations can simultaneously be active within OfficeRnD.

Solution: OfficeRnD does not support simultaneous connections to certain payment gateways, even if they are assigned to different locations within the same organization. For example, Braintree and Stripe cannot be connected simultaneously. If you attempt to activate an incompatible gateway, the system will display a message informing you of this limitation. To avoid disruptions, plan your payment gateway setup accordingly.

Changing ownership and migrating Stripe accounts

Scenario: Your organization has a new owner, and you must disconnect the existing Stripe account and connect a new one without disrupting billing.

Solution: Payment details are stored in Stripe (or any other payment gateway), and OfficeRnD uses tokens saved in the system. These tokens cannot be transferred to a new Stripe account through OfficeRnD; therefore, payment details cannot be synced to a new Stripe account.

To migrate payment details, transfer them directly between the old and new Stripe accounts. Once OfficeRnD is connected to the new Stripe account, the payment details will be synced using the tokens from the new account.

Handling deposit amounts in separate bank accounts

Scenario: You want deposit amounts to be transferred to a separate bank account.

Solution: OfficeRnD processes payments through the connected payment gateway and does not manage the allocation of funds to different bank accounts. To direct deposit amounts to a specific account, configure this setting within your payment gateway provider's platform. Please consult your payment gateway's support resources for guidance on setting up multiple bank accounts and routing payments accordingly.
