Possible Issues After Changing the Organization Slug

In OfficeRnD Flex, it's possible to change your organization slug. The slug is what follows after app.officernd.com. By default, it's your organization's name, i.e., app.officernd.com/your-organization/.

Known Issues

Changing the slug may cause some issues that need to be accounted for:

  • Door Access Integrations - Brivo and Kisi employ webhooks. Webhooks are registered in the remote system using an endpoint in OfficeRnD. As endpoints contain the organization slug, changing the slug changes all API endpoints. So if you have already registered one using the old slug, it won’t work.

  • eZeep - The integration uses webhooks. See Door Access Integrations above.

  • Branded & Web Apps - Branded mobile apps and custom web apps (implemented via developer tools) will stop functioning because they use the OfficeRnD public API where the organization slug is key. If you created your own Application using the OfficeRnD public API and you changed your Admin Site (orgSlug) you need to add the new slug in your application to be able to continue using OfficeRnD.

  • Bookmarked Pages - If your bookmarks for OfficeRnD pages contain URLs with the old slug, you will receive an error (page not available) when you try to open the bookmarked page. You'll have to add new bookmarks (or edit your existing ones) with the new URLs.
