[Visitor App] Custom Shortcut Buttons

Learn how to add custom shortcut buttons on the Visitor App's main screen to optimize visitor experience and purchases.

Updated over a week ago

The Custom Shortcut Buttons feature enhances the Visitor App by optimizing visitor interactions and purchases.

This functionality allows you to add up to two shortcut buttons on the tablet's home screen. This allows visitors to quickly access additional services or resources, such as purchasing a Day Pass or securely continuing flows on their devices.

This feature is available on OfficeRnD Flex and Workplace.

How do custom shortcut buttons work

You can create custom buttons that appear on the Visitor App's main screen.

  • When visitors tap the button, the app displays a QR code.

  • Visitors can scan the QR code with their device.

  • The QR code contains a link to an external page, such as purchasing a Day Pass, accessing event details, or completing a survey.

  • Visitors can securely open the link and continue the flow on their own devices.

How to benefit from the custom shortcut buttons

You can add any link for quick access directly from the Visitor App. Here are some ideas you can draw inspiration from:

  • Purchase Day Passes: Allow visitors to purchase a Day Pass (available with the Growth Hub add-on).

  • Community events or workshops: Redirect visitors to an events page highlighting upcoming workshops, networking sessions, or community gatherings.

  • Help or support: Offer a link to contact the support staff or access a chatbot for assistance during their visit.

  • Wi-Fi access instructions: Include a link to Wi-Fi credentials or a login page to help visitors quickly connect to the internet.

  • Workspace map or floor plan: Include a link to your coworking space's digital map or floor plan to help visitors navigate the facility.

  • Transportation and parking information: Add a link to transportation options or parking instructions for visitors who need directions or parking details.

  • Feedback form: Redirect visitors to a feedback form to share their experience or report issues.

Add custom shortcut buttons

To add a custom shortcut button to the main screen of your Visitor App, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Visitor Hub > Tablet app Settings > Tablet Flows Customization.

  2. Click Create New Flow.

  3. Enter a name for the flow. This name will be used as the button's label on the Visitor App's main screen.

  4. Click Customize next to the newly created flow.

  5. Enter the link for the QR code.

  6. Return to Visitor Hub > Tablet app Settings > Tablet Flows Customization and turn on the flow to make it active and visible on the Visitor App's main screen.

Tip: In the Preview section, you can preview how the button appears on the app's main screen.
