[Visitor App] Add Custom Flows
Updated over a week ago

This feature is available on OfficeRnD Flex and Workplace.

By adding custom visitor flows in Visitor Hub, you can create customized check-in processes for different types of visitors, such as event attendees and maintenance workers. This approach provides a personalized and streamlined experience for visitor management.

Key features

  • Tailored Visitor Experience – Create personalized check-in flows with relevant fields and documents for each visitor type.

  • Enhanced Data Collection – Capture specific information for each visitor to ensure regulatory compliance and enhanced security.

  • Flexible Configuration – Easily manage and customize the check-in process to match unique requirements for different visitor types or events.

Set up a custom flow

To add and manage custom visitor flows in OfficeRnD:

  1. Open the Admin Portal and go to Visitor Hub > Tablet app Settings > Tablet Flows Customization.

  2. Click Customize next to Check In.
Note: Make sure the Check In toggle switch is turned on.

5. Provide a name for the custom flow, such as "Maintenance person" or "Event Attendee." This name is also used for the Visitor Type.

6. (optional) Select Copy settings from an existing flow and select the flow you want to duplicate from the drop-down menu.

7. When you're finished, click Add. A custom flow will be created and a page opens where you can continue setting up. You can add custom fields and upload documents for visitors to read before they continue checking in.

Activate and turn off custom flows

Your custom flow is disabled by default upon creation, so it won't instantly appear in the Visitor App. This behavior lets you tweak every detail before you enable the flow on tablets.

When you're ready to launch:

  1. Go to Visitor Hub > Tablet app Settings > Tablet Flows Customization.

  2. Click Customize next to Check In.

  3. Click the toggle next to your custom flow to turn it on. If you must turn it off later, come back and switch the toggle.

Manage custom flows

Click Customize next to your custom flow to add or remove fields and documents. You can also click the cogwheel and:

  • Rename the flow.

  • Delete the flow. The Visitor Type information will remain in the Visitor Log even if the flow is deleted.
