[Visitor App] Custom Delivery Flows and Fields

This article explains how to adjust the delivery process in the Visitor app by creating custom flows and adding custom fields. With these customizations, you can better meet unique operational requirements, improve tracking accuracy, and enhance communication with your members and visitors.

By the end of the article, you will be able to design a more flexible and efficient delivery system that improves front desk operations.

The term "deliveries" refers to parcels and items that arrive at the front desk.


Use cases

You can cover the following use cases by creating custom delivery flows and adding fields to these flows:

  • Number of items

  • Tracking number

  • Delivery company

  • Free comment field

  • Delivery, which requires the recipient to sign on the courier's tablet

  • Delivery type (Food delivery; Document delivery; Fragile items)

Create a new delivery flow

To create a new delivery flow, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Visitor Hub > Tablet App Settings > Tablet Flows Customization and click Customize next to "Deliveries".

  2. Click Create New Flow.

  3. Enter a name for the flow and click Add.

  4. Return to the list of delivery flows and turn on the toggle switch next to your new delivery flow to activate the flow.

Add custom fields to a delivery flow

To create a new field for a delivery flow, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Visitor Hub > Tablet App Settings > Tablet Flows Customization and click Customize next to "Deliveries".

  2. Click Customize next to a delivery flow.

  3. Click Add Field and select Custom field.

  4. Select the field type. You can make it a text field, a single-choice, or a multiple-choice field:

    • For Single and Multiple Choice fields, enter each individual option in the Options field and press Enter. Do not separate the options by comma.

    • Enter the field name (write it as a question).

    • Click Add when you're finished.

  5. Make the field required or leave it as optional (selected by default).
