The Booking charge slot setting lets you control both the minimum chargeable time and the increments in which bookings can be made. For example, if the slot is set to 30 minutes, members who have a booking for 45 minutes will be billed for 1 hour, and if they book for 1 hour and 15 minutes, they will be billed for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

This article explains where to find the setting, how it affects billing and credits, and how bookings are rounded based on the slot you choose.

Summary

  • Define the increments in which bookings will be charged.

  • Options: 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour.

  • Bookings shorter than the slot are charged at the slot value.

  • Bookings longer than the slot are charged in the next closest increment of the slot duration.

  • Applies to both booking fees and credits/coins usage.

How booking increments work

Depending on what booking charge slot you have set, the following will happen:

  • If the slot is set to 15 minutes, members will be charged for 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes, and so on.

  • If the slot is set to 30 minutes, members will be charged for 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes. For example, bookings of 45 minutes are charged for 1 hour; 1 hour and 15 minutes are charged for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

  • If the slot is set to 1 hour, members will be charged only for 1, 2, 3, 4 hours, and so on. For example, bookings of 1 hour and 15 minutes will be charged for 2 hours.

This rule applies to both paid booking fees and bookings made with credits or coins.
