[Visitor App] Test Notifications

Learn how to test notification settings in the Visitor App to confirm delivery of emails, push messages, SMS, and MS Teams alerts.

Visitor App notifications help your team stay informed when guests arrive or deliveries are registered. Testing these notifications allows you to confirm that messages reach the right people across all supported channels—email, SMS, Microsoft Teams, push notifications, or a combination of these. This ensures a smooth experience for both visitors and hosts, prevents missed deliveries, and enhances communication throughout your workspace.

By the end of this article, you'll know how to trigger test notifications for each supported channel and preview what each type of message looks like before going live.


Test Visitor App notifications

On the Admin Portal, go to Visitor Hub > Tablet App Settings > Notifications. Here, you can test the email notifications sent to:

  • The Host when a visitor arrives and checks in

  • The Visitor when an invitation email is sent out

  • The Delivery Recipient when a delivery is registered via the Visitor App

Email notifications

Hosts will receive an email when visitors check in. Recipients will receive an email when their delivery has arrived. This is what a Delivery notification email looks like:

MS Teams notifications

Hosts will receive a notification from Microsoft Teams when visitors check in. Recipients will receive a notification from Microsoft Teams when their delivery has arrived. This is what a Delivery MS Teams notification looks like:

Mobile push notifications
